From the organizers: "Surah Baqarah, Ayah 152. Alhamdulillah we have many blessings we take for granted and sometimes only when we encounter hardships we remember who provided us with those blessings. Our main goal for this conference is to strengthen our relationship with Allah SWT by gaining knowledge through the stories of the prophets and the history of Islam. We want to find ways to connect our rich past to discuss and relate current events with the youth. We also want to bring the Columbia, Mizzou campus, and Muslim community closer together and to continue to build our relationship."
From the organizers: "Being ME, the 'ME' stands for Muslimah Empowered, is a women-only conference organised by Mercy Mission, an organisation that seeks to build exemplary Islamic communities that benefits humanity.
